Sarah's Card Retreat LO's
As soon as I got back from my exciting weekend in Warrington, YES you hear me right Warrington, well I did spend a fantastic weekend with some very lovely and talented crafters. At the retreat we did 6 great classes over the weekend and I loved everyone of the classes.
Sarah's Card Retreat - March 2010
What a fab time I had at Sarah's retreat, I had waited so long for this weekend and the time had come, off I went to Warrington for a weekend of paper stroking, playing, eating and chatting. I had only met a few people from other retreats but, was looking forward to meeting new friends I had only chatted to on UKS.
It kicked off on the Friday afternoon, Sarah and Lianne looked exhausted and so they should have, they had done a fantastic job, setting up the shop in the cropping room, and preparing the whole weekend so we all could play and enjoy ourselves.
I hope you enjoy the photos from the retreat, I met so many wonderful ladies and especially one Susy from Bali, we had only spoken on line before the retreat and it was so nice to be in her company, she was great to be around though she did nearly talk me to death (only joking Susy - love you lots).
I also met some other Ladies who I will not forget and am looking forward to meeting them again, Gwynetth, Susie, Sam who I had the pleasure of sharing a cropping table with, thanks for your lovely friendship.

Where did January GO!!!!
Well I dont believe how fast this month has gone, only seems 2 minutes since Christmas. We have had a mix of weather here in Spain, lots of bright sunny days but quite a lot of rain, so I have managed to get in to my craft room a bit more. I have managed to do all the weekly challenges for January set by teams on UKS. I really enjoy these each week and they motivate me to do some scrapping but, most of all to use my never ending supply of paper!!!
Week 1 - Challenge set by BeckyG1 - LO using her sketch , use a celebration photo and ribbon. I chose photos of my dear Brothers wedding in 2008.
Week 2 - Challenge set by Twilight Addicts, the theme was "forbidden fruit" for this LO I chose a photo of me enjoying a strawberry ice cream, I can never decide on what flavour so I have to have a bit of everything, you also had to put ribbon with blossoms or bling on your LO.
Week 3 - Challenge set by Missusem - A piece of History, for this challenge you had to create a LO, using an old photo, I used a photo of me and my brother from 1974 on a visit to Santas grotto, I am only 12 and my baby brother was 4. I love this photo because I do not have many photos of the two of us.
Week 4 - Challenge set by Dawnhallybone - LO using a sketch, I chose a sketch from Twisted sketches, a photo something other than a person, use journalling, ribbon and bling. The photo I chose was of one of my dogs who adopted us, Chico was an abandoned dog in our village and now he has found a loving home.

Happy New Year 2010!!!
Well 2010 is here, just to recap the last few days of 2009, I decided to compete in a run, "SAN SILVESTRE" these races take place all over Spain at this time of the Year, have not run for many years not in a race anyway, it must be at least 16 years ago!!! I did once used to be an athlete and competed for Great Britain and England at International level at 400m, so running any further than 400m is like a marathon to me. The day after Boxing day, I did a run in Albox it was 4.5km, the course was hilly and finished it in 19.36mins, New Years Eve decided to do another run in Huercal Overa, this time it was not as far only 3km and finished in 12.55 mins, the course was flat but very windy. Here are a few photos of the events.
